Description

Eligibility: Must be a resident of Grundy County. Because of a physical or mental disability a person may not be able to seek employment, thus needing assistance. Must be very low income - number in the household and total household income are taken into consideration. Service Description: Provide EMERGENCY general assistance for: food, rent, clothing, transportation, emergency telephone service, fuel, utilities, medical attention (could be prescription drugs, dental, or health care), burial.AKA: Grundy County General ReliefBackground Checks: Performed on all employees.Comments:* Sometimes negotiate with the provider the amount of charges for various services or items needed in order to assist the client.*Consider life circumstances of clients when determining eligibility case-by-case.
