Eligibility: Residents of Cedar County that meet the financial guidelines.Service Description: Cedar County Community Services department provides General Assistance and Mental Health and Disability Services (MHDS) for those who qualify.AKA: Cedar County General AssistanceBackground Checks: YesComments:*Located in the basement of the Cedar County Courthouse.*General Assistance: Available to qualifying residents who cannot obtain financial assistance from any other source. Assistance may be available in the form of checks or vouchers to assist with paying rent, utilities, or food.*Mental Health and Disability Services (MHDS) : Provides support and linkage to mental health, crisis, residential, and vocational services.
