Eligibility: Age 55 and over who would like to volunteerService Description: Engages people 55+ in meaningful community service with public service, non-profit, educational and proprietary health organizations. Volunteer placement includes food pantries; elementary school tutors, mentors and pen pals; supporting blood drives; Senior Health Insurance Information (SHIIP) counselors; conversational ESL; wide range of community activities and service.AKA: RSVP of Kossuth CountyBackground checks: Only if the place they volunteer require and that place they work does the background checksComments:*An umbrella of Senior Core*Have numerous opportunities to help*Additional Sites: Northwest Iowa RSVP serves Clay, Dickinson, Emmet, Kossuth and Palo Alto Counties with offices in Algona, Emmetsburg, Estherville, Spencer and Spirit Lake on Iowa Lakes CC campuses.
