Eligibility: Washington County Veterans and/or eligible family members.Service Description: Provides support and services to Veterans and/or their family members.AKA: Washington County VABackground Checks: N/AComments:*County assistance may be available to provide support with rent payments, utilities, food and provisions, transportation, burial assistance, and grave markers.*The department is also able to assist with applying for federal benefits on behalf of the Veterans and/or their family members which may include: services connected disability pension, non-service connected pension, surviving spouse pension, aid and attendance, military records, applications for VA health care and applications for the Iowa Veterans Home, headstones, and other programs that may be available.*Call to schedule an appointment.
