Helps individuals by referring them to organization that may be of assistance to them. They do not provide financial assistance out of this office. This agency deals with all areas of emergencies in Tama County. 1) Preparedness - Planning, preplanning, exercising and training for emergencies such as natural disasters and manmade emergencies. 2) Recovery - Assist in recovery needs of citizens or communities in Tama County, short term or long term. 3) Response - Coordinate actions taken during an emergency or disaster. 4) Mitigation - Planning & Activities that prevent emergencies or disasters from happening or reduce the damages if emergencies or disasters cannot be prevented.* Certified for through the State of Iowa in Emergency Management.last updated 1/10/24 ngk
