Eligibility: HOME REPAIR GRANTS - 62 years of age or older and unable to pay a loan; income requirements based on county; own & occupy a single family dwelling; live in a rural area with a population of 20,000 (not within a metropolitan statistical area); have a credit history of meeting obligations.Service Description: Provides loan or grant money to limited-income owners of single family homes make repairs to make home safer or to remove health and safety hazards AKA: FMHA (Farm and Home Administration)Background Checks: Performed on all employeesComments:*Money to install ramps or handrails or other items to make the home more accessible*Contact local office for assistance with loan paperwork* Loan Terms: 1% interest rate, terms up to 20 years, minimal or no application and closing costs.
